  1. Hi,

Sorry it took me so long to pop by your blog. With all the travel to St Louis I have been having trouble getting laundry done. lol

I wanted to say how cute Kolter is! Glad to see he is out of the casts and into a Dobbs brace. I am in awe of the Dobbs brace. Seems like an amazing thing Dobbs has created. In no time Kolter will be using it to help him along. I know Matthew rolled early by using his DBB for leverage.

I too have said the same quote over and over ("Dear God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference....") in fact, I even bought a plaque of it to help me remember. It does get better.

I remember the first night, first two weeks of Matthew in the brace. It was horrid. He screamed at night every 45 min. I thought I would loose my mind. He did get used ti it. Funny thing, when the time came to give up the DBB at night time, I was thrilled, but Matthew had a tough time adjusting and cried for days. lol But it did get better, and even though I have a child who's clubfoot has other issues and is a more difficult case, he has never let it slow him down. In fact, I think he has more determination of any child I know. Maybe that is just him, maybe it is because of the clubfoot.

It seems like a long road right now, but some day, you will sit back and see what a short time it really was, and see how beautiful his feet have become.
